I recently purchased my first PWC and decided on a 2005 12F. I had some experience with other 2-stroke models (JetSki and Wave Runner) and felt it was time to stop borrowing or renting and buy a ski. We decided to go with a 4-stroke for several reasons not the least of which was they're quiet and dependable. I got a very good deal on my machine but did experience a problem upon putting it in the water. The battery warning light came on immediately and a very annoying beeping sounded. Over the next day it continued until it died in the middle of the river. After getting the ski back to shore I got it back to the dealer where they found that a wire had come lose from the magneto. After it was put back on it ran like a champ. Bottom-line: If your battery light blinks have it checked out and don't get too far from shore... Since then the 12F has been a great machine with lots of room (3-riders) and plenty of power to pull a skier or a tube. It handles very well for a large machine and runs smoothly in light chop. It's not the fastest thing on water (I've hit 57 mph) but I would still recommend it as the perfect ride for that "1 Jet-Ski household".
